James Cresswell is a musician, videographer, and occasional writer who spends most of his time overthinking film, music, literature, ghosts, and desserts.
His main musical project, Mute Branches, has been going since 2010 and is primarily inspired by West Midlands small towns and the imaginary spaces that we map on top of them. Most recently, Mute Branches’ space travel and disappointment-themed album, ‘Us Without the World’, was released by Okla Records earlier in 2025.
